A new relationship trend called “Digital Detox Dates” is gaining popularity among young couples in major cities.
According to a survey by Psychology Today, 68% of couples who implemented weekly phone-free dates reported feeling more connected and less stressed in their relationships.
The concept is simple: During date nights or quality time, both partners put their phones away in a drawer or box for at least 2–3 hours. Many couples are also creating “No-Phone Zones” in their bedrooms and dining areas.
Common Benefits Reported:
Deeper conversations
Better emotional connection
Improved sleep quality
Reduced arguments over phone usage
