Joe Mettle’s Praise Reloaded 2026 Set to Draw Thousands as Ghana’s Biggest Gospel Worship Experience Returns

Ghana’s gospel music industry is preparing for one of its biggest annual events as award-winning gospel musician Joe Mettle gears up for the 14th edition of Praise Reloaded, a worship concert expected to attract thousands of believers and music lovers from across the country and beyond.

Scheduled for June 28, 2026, at the Accra Sports Stadium, this year’s edition is themed “The River,” inspired by the biblical passage in John 7:37–38, symbolising spiritual renewal, hope, and transformation. Organizers say the event aims to create an atmosphere of worship while encouraging unity among Christians from different denominations.

The concert marks a return to the Accra Sports Stadium after the previous edition was held at the El-Wak Sports Stadium. According to Joe Mettle, the decision to return to the larger venue reflects the growing popularity of the program, which has evolved into one of Ghana’s premier gospel music gatherings over the past fourteen years.

Speaking during the official launch of the program, Joe Mettle described Praise Reloaded as more than just a musical event.

“This is more than an event. It is a divine assignment,” he said, explaining that this year’s theme seeks to inspire spiritual revival and deepen people’s relationship with God.

Unlike previous editions, organizers have expanded the program into a week-long celebration featuring campus outreaches, church activations, media engagements, worship nights, music seminars, prayer campaigns, and community interactions ahead of the main concert. The initiative is intended to prepare worshippers spiritually before the grand event.

Several renowned gospel artistes from Ghana and abroad have been confirmed for this year’s edition. They include Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Eugene Zuta, Sola Allyson, Sunmisola Agbebi, and Prospa Ochimana, with organizers promising additional surprise performances.

Entertainment industry analysts believe Praise Reloaded has become more than a concert. It has developed into a major cultural and spiritual event that significantly contributes to Ghana’s entertainment calendar by promoting gospel music while boosting tourism, hospitality, transportation, and local businesses during the event period.

Joe Mettle, the first gospel artiste to win the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) Artiste of the Year award, continues to play a leading role in expanding the reach of contemporary gospel music in Ghana and across Africa. Through Praise Reloaded, he has consistently provided a platform for established and emerging gospel musicians to minister to thousands of worshippers annually.

As preparations enter their final stages, expectations continue to build for what many believe will be one of the largest gospel gatherings of 2026. With free admission and a strong line-up of celebrated ministers, organizers are anticipating another record-breaking attendance as thousands converge on the Accra Sports Stadium for an evening of praise, worship, and spiritual inspiration.
