Mr. Frederick Addy, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Suaman Constituency in the Western North Region, has called on New Patriotic Party (NPP) members to unite strongly behind the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to secure victory in the 2028 general elections.
Mr. Addy made the call when he addressed constituency communication officers and party communicators from the nine constituencies in the Western North Region at the Regional Party Office in Wiawso.
He emphasized that Dr. Bawumia is the best person to lead the country forward and urged all party members to put aside any differences and rally behind him.
“Dr Bawumia is well positioned to transform this country and lead us to a path of growth and development, and would only need our support, so let’s all rally behind him for victory 2028,” the Suaman MP stated.
The MP’s remarks come as the NPP continues its rebuilding and consolidation efforts following the 2024 general elections, with party leaders working to maintain unity ahead of the next electoral cycle.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who served as Vice President from 2017 to 2024, remains the leading figure within the NPP and is widely expected to be the party’s presidential candidate again in 2028.
