The Ghana Medical Trust Fund (GMTF) has officially inaugurated a reconstructed and expanded Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory (Cath Lab) at the National Cardiothoracic Centre (NCTC) of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, restoring one of Ghana’s most critical heart care facilities after it was destroyed by fire last year.
The state-of-the-art facility is expected to significantly improve the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases, providing lifesaving services to thousands of patients across the country.
