A Sekondi College student has shared an inspiring story of how a simple business idea transformed his family’s fortunes, lifting them from financial hardship to economic stability through the sale of bread.
The student, Oswald Asamoah, explained that he conceived the idea while still in senior high school after recognizing a growing demand for fresh bread in his community. With the support of his family, he began a small-scale bread production business that gradually attracted a loyal customer base.
According to Oswald, the venture started with limited resources but expanded steadily through hard work, consistency and the reinvestment of profits. As sales increased, the business generated enough income to improve the family’s living conditions and provide greater financial security.
He said the success of the enterprise has enabled the family to meet essential needs, support his education and create employment opportunities for others in the community. What began as a modest initiative has since grown into a thriving family business.
Oswald encouraged young people not to underestimate their ideas, urging students to embrace entrepreneurship and innovation rather than waiting for opportunities after school. He believes determination, creativity and perseverance can help transform even the smallest idea into a successful venture.
His story has received widespread praise on social media, with many describing it as an example of how youth entrepreneurship can create lasting economic change and inspire other young Ghanaians to pursue their ambitions.
