GES Trains Fourth Cohort of District Teacher Support Team on Early Childhood Education

The Ghana Education Service (GES), under the Early Childhood Education Harmonised Scale Programme (ECEHSP), has successfully trained the fourth cohort of District Teacher Support Teams on best practices in early childhood education.
The training, which took place in Fumesua, brought together coordinators, officers, and deputy directors in charge of Early Childhood Education from various districts across the country.
The program aims to equip participants with modern teaching methodologies, child-centered learning approaches, and effective classroom management skills to improve the quality of education at the foundational level.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, a GES official emphasized the importance of investing in early childhood education, stating that strong foundational learning is critical to the overall success of Ghana’s education system.
“The future of our nation depends on the quality of education we give our young children. This training is part of our commitment to building a strong base for lifelong learning,” the official noted.
Participants expressed gratitude for the program and pledged to cascade the knowledge acquired to teachers in their respective districts.
