President John Dramani Mahama has called on Christians to demonstrate their faith through integrity, honesty, and compassion in every aspect of their lives, stressing that genuine Christianity must extend beyond worship services.
Speaking during his sermon at the Assemblies of God Men’s Ministry Faith Conference on Saturday, the President challenged believers to ensure that their conduct in the workplace, at home, in business, and in public reflects the values they profess in church.
“Don’t come to church, dance and speak in tongues, then when you get to work, you become a different person. Your Christian life must show at work, at home, in your public life, in your business and service to other people,” President Mahama told the congregation.
He emphasized that Christianity is not merely about participating in religious activities but about living a life of integrity, humility, and service. According to him, the true measure of a believer lies in how they treat others and uphold ethical standards in their daily interactions.
President Mahama further encouraged Christian men to serve as role models within their families, workplaces, and communities, urging them to lead with honesty, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility. He noted that the nation’s development depends not only on sound policies but also on citizens who uphold moral values and act with integrity.
The President also called on Christians to reject corruption, dishonesty, and hypocrisy, saying that faith should inspire positive change and contribute to national development through selfless service.
His remarks resonated with participants at the conference, many of whom applauded the message as a timely reminder that faith must be evident through actions rather than words alone.
The Assemblies of God Men’s Ministry Faith Conference brought together church leaders, ministers, and members from across the country to reflect on spiritual growth, leadership, and the role of Christian men in building strong families and a better society.
