Stonebwoy Reveals Wife Was Stabbed While Pregnant During 2017 Concert

Ghanaian dancehall musician Stonebwoy has shared one of the most painful experiences of his career, revealing that his wife, Dr. Louisa Ansong, was stabbed while pregnant with their daughter during his 2017 Ashaiman to the World Concert.

Speaking in a recent interview about the dangers entertainers face while performing, the award-winning musician recounted the terrifying incident, saying he was forced to remain on stage and complete his performance even after learning that his wife had been attacked.

According to Stonebwoy, Dr. Louisa, who was expecting their first child at the time, sustained a knife wound amid the chaos at the concert and had to be rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment.

“They cut my wife with a knife. The fans were there, and I had no choice but to finish the show before going to see her at the hospital,” he recalled.

The musician explained that despite the emotional distress, he chose to continue performing out of responsibility to the thousands of fans who had gathered for the event.

Stonebwoy said the incident remains one of the most traumatic moments in his life and has shaped his perspective on the risks musicians and performers face while entertaining large crowds.

He noted that the experience highlighted the urgent need for improved security at public events, stressing that artists, their families and fans deserve to feel safe at concerts and festivals.

The dancehall star also reflected on how the ordeal strengthened his family’s resilience, expressing gratitude that both his wife and their unborn daughter survived the attack.

His revelation has sparked widespread reactions on social media, with many fans expressing shock and sympathy for the couple while praising Dr. Louisa’s strength and Stonebwoy’s professionalism under difficult circumstances.
