Dambai, July 7, 2026 – More than 8,000 delegates across the Oti Region are expected to participate in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) constituency executive elections, as the party intensifies preparations ahead of the next electoral cycle.
Party officials say a total of 8,406 delegates will cast their ballots to elect new constituency executives who will steer the affairs of the party over the next four years. The elections are expected to take place under strict electoral guidelines, with security agencies deployed to ensure a peaceful process.
Regional executives have urged delegates to conduct themselves responsibly and avoid acts that could undermine the credibility of the internal polls. Aspirants have also been encouraged to campaign based on ideas and policies that will strengthen party unity.
Political observers believe the outcome of the elections will shape the NPP’s grassroots organization in the Oti Region and influence preparations for future national elections.
Voting is expected to commence early in the morning, with results anticipated before the close of the day.
