Media personality Abena Moet has strongly criticized the panel on UTV’s United Showbiz following the recent controversial comments made by A-Plus during a discussion on flood-related issues.
Speaking during an interview on Neat FM, Abena Moet expressed disappointment in both the host and panelists, arguing that A-Plus should have been compelled to retract some of the remarks he made during the programme. She described the handling of the situation as unacceptable and said those who remained silent while the comments were made “should be ashamed of themselves.”
The media personality further claimed that the incident exposed what she believes is unequal treatment among panelists on the show, suggesting that some contributors are given more leeway than others.
Drawing from her own experience on the same platform, Abena Moet stated that she had previously been asked to withdraw comments she made about herself, and therefore questioned why similar standards were not applied in this case.
Her remarks have since sparked debate on social media, with many Ghanaians discussing the role of television hosts and panelists in maintaining decorum during live broadcasts.
