Former Chief Executive Officer of the Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) has officially begun serving a prison sentence at the Nsawam Medium Security Prison following her conviction on corruption-related charges.
Prison authorities confirmed that she was transferred to the correctional facility after completing all legal documentation.
The conviction followed years of investigations and court proceedings over allegations involving the misuse of public funds during her tenure at MASLOC.
Legal experts say the case demonstrates Ghana’s continued efforts to strengthen accountability in the management of public resources.Conviction & Charges: She was found guilty in absentia by the Accra High Court on 78 counts, which included stealing, conspiracy to steal, money laundering, and causing a financial loss of GH¢90 million to the state.
